JOY OF EUROPE IN NIS

 `Joy of Europe – Gathering of Children from Europe 2011` will be organized in Nis, Sveti Sava Hall, Nis Eparchy, also this year and for the fifth time in our city, announced Miljko Petrovic, art manager Church-dance `Branko` ensemble. For the little performers from Bulgaria, Makedonia, Brus, Belgrade and Nis the reception will be organized in Palilula Municipality before the evening performance.This significant, and already traditional cultural manifestation, is also sponsored by Palilula Municipality with the blessing of His Holiness Nis Episcope Jovan. This manifestation is within the promotion of `Children week` in Nis.

PALILULA MARKET
RECONSTRUCTION BEGINS

 PhD Igor Novakovic, president of Palilula Municipality said to the press that the reconstruction works will begin on Palilula market during October, and it was estimated that all will be over in about a month.
The resources have been already provided and the matter that stopped its implementation was the problems in permissions obtaining. The project was a present of a group of architects of Nis, while the money was provided from donations, Novakovic says. Market place will be completely rebuilt, will get a new fence, roof, new stalls and new sanitary place. In addition, special area for the dairy products sellers will be provided.

NEW TECHNOLOGIES AT PLOVDIV FAIR

 During the 67th International Technical Fair in the Bulgarian town of Plovdiv, Palilula Municipality organized on September 29 "Business Forum Serbia - Bulgaria." During this thematic conference, organized with the support of the Embassy of Serbia in Bulgaria, the Regional Chamber of Economy - Nis and Nis LEDIB, about fifty businessmen from Bulgaria and Serbia participated. After the welcome words of Ivan Sokolov, director of this prestigious fair events, the participants were addressed by Aleksandar Milicevic, Attaché for Economic Affairs of our embassy in Sofia. He spoke about current economic developments in the region and the importance of achieving regional economic cooperation.

PROJECT IDEAS EXCHANGE

 The delegation of Palilula Municipality, presided by Milan Djurdjevic, president of Palilula Municipal Assembly, visited twinning Municipality of Svoge during the Fair in Plovdiv. On this occasion joined with Emil Atanasov, president of Svoge Municipality it was discussed about the coming of new project cycle of border cooperation Bulgaria-Serbia. Veronika Marinova, secretary of Municipality of Svoge also took part at the discussion. This meeting was also used for the discussion on possibilities of functioning of parking service utilities in Svoge. Dragan Vuckovic, director of Public enterprise Parking service of Nis, spoke about this matter with the president Atanasov.

SUSTAINABLE EXCHANGE OF BULGARIAN AND SERBIAN BUSINESSMEN EXPERIENCES

 During the current International fair of technology in Plovdiv, Bulgaria opened earlier this week by the Prime Minister of Bulgaria Bojko Borisov, the participation of entrepreneurs of Nis organized by Palilula Municipality is being regarded as worthy. The Fair carries the motto "New life-new technologies," in partnership with Russian Federation. New space of Fair complex was opened in 13 pavilions and exhibits are from 1482 companies and from 44 countries: 877 are direct participants and 605 company representatives.At Palilula Municipal stand, formed with the support of LEDIB and project called "Establishment of synergistic dialogue between Serbian and Bulgarian entrepreneurs / SMEs and professional organizations to develop a sustainable exchange of experience", 15 entrepreneurs are being represented.

THIRD `AUTO SHOW`

 The third fair of cars, engines and car accessories AUTO-MOTO FEST NIS 2011 this year will be held from October 7 to 9 in renovated Hall "Cair" in Nis. One of the sponsors of this event is Palilula Municipality. The opening ceremony of the fair is scheduled for Friday, 7 October.Fair of automobiles, motorcycles and related equipment is of great importance both for the city of Nis, and the entire southeast region of Serbia. At about 3000 m2 of internal space and 1000 m2 outside area, there will be a large number of distributors and resellers Nis cars, engines and accessories. Exhibitors will present the latest models from these car brands: Audi, Seat, Mercedes, Renault, Peugeot, Skoda, Mazda, Hyundai, Fiat, BMW, Mini, Opel, Chevrolet, Toyota, Kia, Renault, Citroen, Nissan and Chery.

 Palilula citizens, who live in Visegrad street numbers of 33-39, sent a request to Administration for city planning and construction and Directorate for city construction of the City of Nis, to provide emergency conditions and allow the use of the access road, which is closed by building of a new bridge over the Gabrovacka river. If this problem is not resolved by September 30, they announced that they would "cut the fence of the bridge" and allow further use of the road access. Protests that has lasted many months now, and correspondence with the relevant city departments and the Directorate have not given expected results. `Our basic civil rights are being jeopardized` – the signatories emphasized.

 Team competition of the squats, with the title `Kralj Petar Prvi Cup`, will take place in Bubanj Memorial Park from September 16 to 18. LED DISPLAY INSTALLED AT TROSARINA – STREET-TURN CONSTRUCTION WORKS

 At the street-turn at Appellate Court after many months of preparations, the works on the adaptation of this traffic route have began. This significant investment, valuable about 50 million dinars, is being realized thanks to activity of Palilula Municipality and support of Ministry for infrastructure and energetic of the Republic of Serbia in solving communal problems of local governments. According to the statement of the authorities of the Construction Company –Nis, at the street turn will be three traffic roads and pavement, and the most modern traffic signalization will be also soon installed.

 Municipal Saint Day `Sabor srpskih svetitelja` was celebrated last weekend in Palilula Municipality. In the presence of the priests of Nis Eparchy and due to orthodox tradition, the cutting of Saint’s day cake was performed. The guests were welcomed at the balcony of NKC by the president of Palilula Municipality with his associates, Council members and in the presence of the Assembly authorities and Palilula municipal administration authorities. Milan Andejic, member of Municipal Council, host of this year Municipal celebration, shared the cake with the host of 2012 Milan Stevanovic also the member of Palilula Municipal Council.

 Tv station KOPERNIKUS began a new series of programs titled "Voice of Nis - Voice of heritage ". The first show will present Palilula Municipality. Ljudmila Ristic, the editor of `Informer`, discussed with the president Novakovic about the activities this organization of local self-government. The conversation began in the Municipality and then the TV crew with president Novakovic visited Contact Center "Info 48", Western Gate of the Old Cemetery "Gorica" Memorial Park, `Bubanj", Industrial Zone of Donje Međurovo, Palilula market place.The basic information about the origin of the name Palilula, the number and structure of population, economic resources and advantages for investors, monuments, events and actions of the municipality will be presented in the first `Voice of Nis – Voice of Heritage`.

DECISION ON CITIZEN ASSEMBLAGE

 The councilors of Palilula Municipality, during 24th Assembly meeting, presided by Milan Djurdjevic, adopted the Decision on the Citizen assemblage. With this Decision the way of convocation of citizens at the territory of Municipality is arranged and organized, including their work and decision making and determination of the assemblage statements. After adoption of the Minutes from 24th meeting, the councilors of the Municipality brought decisions on duty determination for Milorad Nikolic, the president of the Municipal commission for education, culture, sport, and youth, gender equality and policy of equal possibilities. Mladjan Ivanov was elected for this duty.
